2002 Renault Scenic 1.6 16v in Newport, Gloucestershire for sale

2002 Renault Scenic 1.6 16v. MOT till October 2014, and Tax till the end of the month. 111k Spacious, Comfortable car with lots of storage & space. Will seat 5 adults comfortably, 2 in the front, 3 proper seats in the back, that can be removed. Remote Central Locking, Electric Front Windows, Electric Mirrors, Twin Electric Tilt & Slide Sun roofs. Trip computer, Height & reach adjustable steering wheel, height adjustable drivers seat. CD Multichanger, remote stereo controls. Alloy Wheels. Excellent interior & body work for an 11 year old car, and is a very comfortable and easy car to drive. Bad points. As the price suggests, this car is not perfect. The engine has a significant oil leak, approx 1litre a week. It also runs slightly lumpy and when warm will not idle. The garage thought that one of the threads hold one of the coils in place had gone, meaning it was only running on 3 cylinders and not 4. In there opinion it was running lumpy because it was running on 3 1/2 cylinders when cold, but when the engine warmed up and it expanded the loose coil was being lifted off the plug and it was only running on 3 cylinders. They took the manifold off, drilled out all the old threads, and re-tapped them all, replaced all 4 spark plugs and coils and changed the battery for good measure, but this did not fix the problem. They now believe it is losing compression, most likely through one of the cylinders. Therefore we have decided to buy a new car, instead of wait for the garage to be able to fit us in and repair as we do not have the time for this. Once repaired, this car could last for many many more years With this problem repaired this car is worth more than twice what we are asking.
